• My site is not loading sometimes.

A lot of times there are errors (503 error, no data received error, server timeout error).

This happens when clicking too fast and the site stops working.

All plugins are up-to-date, I delete all unnecessary plugins and remove all unnecessary media (still some large files: 18MB, 5MB).

The only thing I can think is this version of Customizr is from October 2014. I do not have child theme and cannot update at the moment.

Could it be because the theme is not up-to-date?

This is only reason I can imagine.

    Thanks

  • If it worked in the past, and you didn’t update WP or plugins then would suggest you ask your Hosting support for advice.

18MB seems very large and won’t help load speed.

But best to update to latest versions as soon as you can.

Link to site would help us check?

At first you will probably see it loads normally.

After you click 5-6 pages especially fast and keep clicking it will start to take a longgg time and possibly give you an error.

    I updated all plugins

    did not update WP

    did not update Customizr

have 1 18MB file (rest are small)

Called GoDaddy 4 times about this and they say there is nothing wrong on their end. It is Godaddy WordPress hosting.

P.s. The 18MB file is only in Media library not anywhere on front-end.

A lot of times there are errors (503 error, no data received error, server timeout error).

Those ARE server issues – and unfortunately, seem to be fairly common on that host…

BUT, you might want to try deactivating your plugins to see if any are contributing to or causing the server to have problems.

A couple of the support agents say it is likely the resources…

I don’t even know exactly what this means.

My site is not thatt big… WordPress has 50%+ market share, I think there are many way larger sites.

Godaddy claims their WordPress hosting is by pageview and not bandwidth. They give 250,000 pageviews/month and I only use 5,000 right now.

There are 22 plugins most of them necessary and that doesn’t seem like a huge amount.

There is CSS and PHP code most of which is necessary and seems quite optimal.

I’m in UK, taking 90s to load page. Had a 503 too.

This is not a WP or Czr issue. Have any friends with a different ISP who can test it? Use Duplicator to create a copy of your site. I also use Desktop Server to upload sites. Free for 3 sites which would suffice right now.

I had a video review from a freelancer and it loads soo slow…

Been having this issue while developing site for a month now roughly.

It works well (usually) for the first 5-10 clicks and then stops working.

Also, sometimes it will not load in Chrome but it will in IE.

In your GoDaddy cpanel home page, try Optimizing your website, it helped my sites. CPanel > Home > Software > Optimize Website.

This site is with their “WordPress hosting” which supposedly allows for 250,000 pageviews/month. We were originally with their cPanel hosting.

Here are a couple of resources you can use to look at your site. They will analyze your site and give you some insight on what you can change.
