• I have been up all night troubleshooting my site. It’s a kinda weird problem, often my site stops responding. It just loads for ever. Sometimes it takes 10min+ to load one page and sometimes it infinite loads forever.

I have update MySQL to the latest 5.7 and also wordpress to 4.6.1 with no luck.

    It’s a dedicated server:
    Intel i3
    8gb ram
    128gb ssd and 3tb 7200rpm
    Windows 10
    IIS 10

The only error I can see in the debug.log is this: “[17-Sep-2016 06:53:29 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in …\wp-includes\class-wp-xmlrpc-server.php on line 6331”

The site can be found here
Now it’s working as intended, but soon it will stop again.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,

We have had a similar problem in the past. On our localhost it was working fast. However, it was broken every few hours without any reason on the server and the same xmlrpc error showed up. Our hosting that time was Hostgator and after several unfruitful conversations with them we decided to move away from their shared hosting to cloud hosting.

Since then the website has been up and running faster most of the times. Where are you hosted? Do you have other websites hosted on the same server? Is it a shared or dedicated hosting?

I’m hosting it by my own for the moment, with a dedicated server, with only this site running.

Not sure if this is a factor in your issue, but WP lives most happily on a LAMP stack. It can run on Windows, but many themes and plugins are tested only on LAMP or similar, and weird things can happen on Windows.

I totally agree with you. After trying with everything without success, I decided to try another host.

Now everything is running 10 times faster and better than ever before. No more issues.

Conclusion: Windows should not run wordpress.
