• This is real nit but I always need to right click on the site link from the top of the dashboard. Why? So that I can still have my admin panels still open to where I am.

So…. I suggest that the link open a new tab with the site. Easy. Or at least an option to do that. Harder

  • It is considered better for the user, especially for accessibility concerns, to open links in the same window. The user can manage how the link opens, either with a right click or with a control key during the click(that’s how I use it), and so the user always has the choice.

You could write a little plugin that either filters the admin menu links in PHP or has a javascript that adds the target attribute, and use it on your site.

That may be true for a user but not for a developer that needs the admin panel open.
