Google Site Kit will not share/show to other users. I’ve used the sharing tools and opened it to all user roles. It won’t show up for other users than me. It says either they don’t have permission to view the page (when linking to wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-dashboard) or they get a 404 (when the link is this: /wp-admin/googlesitekit-dashboard). Even if I upgrade the other users to admin level, it shows in the menu on the left, but they still get the 404 and still can’t see any information.

I’ve also selected the option to view it on the dashboard, but it doesn’t appear there, nor does any box in the Screen Options to even show it.

    ???

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for getting in touch. Permissions errors can occur in various circumstances, however, if you would like to share the following we can learn more on what may be happening in your case:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??I can then check for plugins that can alter or create user profiles with specific permissions.
    2. Is it possible that some of the administrator users who granted access to, didn’t use the plugins “View only” dashboard, and instead signed in with their own Google account? If so, they will encounter permissions errors if they don’t have access to the connected Google Analytics property. See this guide.

It says either they don’t have permission to view the page

Permissions issues indicate that these other users may be signing in with their Google account as opposed to using Dashboard Sharing. Once we have the above we can determine more on this or provide some troubleshooting suggestions.

I’ve also selected the option to view it on the dashboard, but it doesn’t appear there, nor does any box in the Screen Options to even show it.

You may wish to create a new user account, and ensure the role you assign this user account has been granted view-only access via Dashboard Sharing. If you find this isn’t working as intended, you can use a service such as Loom to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.

    Hi,

I had to disable my Custom Admin Interface plugin. Then click on the view only option (without signing in). Then turn the plugin back on again.

    Thank you.

Nice find @ratsbag! This will be in particular use should other users encounter the same. Thanks again.
