I’m using the current version of Site Kit (1.6.0) and the plugin isn’t allowing me to choose the correct Google Analytics profile. I have various Google Analytics profiles and the plugin is auto-choosing a profile. The drop-down menu is grayed out. I have already tried reinstalling the plugin and connecting and disconnecting my account. Nothing works.

  • @ygruszynski thanks for your topic. A few questions:

    1) Are you using Site Kit’s snippet or another method to insert the Google Analytics tracking code on your site?

    2) Could you share your site URL?

    Hi Renee,

I was clicking on “Set up Analytics” and not using snippets.

I just tried putting my analytics code in my website’s header and Site Kit finally recognized the correct profile. Hooray! However, if I had wanted to switch to another account, that area was still grayed out and I wouldn’t have been able to select the correct profile.

@ygruszynski thanks so much for the details!

    1) Could you confirm if the Google Account you’re using to setup Site Kit has administrative access to the correct profile you wanted to select?

    2) How many accounts, properties, and views (profiles) do you have in Google Analytics? This document is a good reference for how this maps in your Analytics account.

We’d like to investigate this further, so any information you can provide would be great.

@ygruszynski I’m following up on your topic to see if you could provide any further information requested above? thank you!
