    Hello,
After installing the Site Kit by Google plugin, it gives me an error in the process of verifying the ownership of the website.
The error says “The necessary verification token could not be found on your site. This may be related to your site using a page caching plugin. Please flush your home page cache and then try again.”

My hosting provider is godaddy, so I contacted them to clear the cache since there is no any option to do it by myself. They assisted me by clearing cache from their end but the issue remain same.

I tried disabling all the plugins and done it in troubleshoot mode as well in a incognito mode. But no luck.

    Please help. Thanks in advance!

    Hi there @createish,

Thanks for reaching out, and providing details of the troubleshooting you’ve already performed. As you’re encountering this notice, which I suspect may be hosting related, please share your Site Health information and I’ll check your set up.

Note that one workaround, which you may wish to check, is to manually add and verify your site manually with Search Console. This removes the need for Site Kit to verify your site ownership with Search Console.

    Hi @jamesosborne
Thank you for you reply. I have submitted the site health information. And was trying to verify manually with search console. But in the middle of the process it gives me warning saying
“Your domain is already connected to o365. This will allow Google to potentially remove o365.
Your domain is already connected to o365_2. This will allow Google to potentially remove o365_2.”

Wonder whether this will effect on the email accounts associated with the office 365 plan. Please advice.

    Hi @createish,

It sounds like you may have been trying to verify ownership via DNS, using a domain type property in Search Console. Rather than doing this have you tried adding your site as a URL prefix property, and then verify ownership by uploading a verification file?

Let me know how you get on with the above, or ask if you have any questions. I’ve also checked the Site Health information form you kindly provided and I don’t notice anything unusual that would be impacting set up.

    Thank @jamesosborne
I followed the URL prefix method and added the html file. It worked!

Thank you for your support. Appreciate it!

Glad to hear that worked. I can’t be sure why you were encountering that message initially, there may be still a block at host level. If you run into any further errors be sure to reach out.
