Google site kit keeps disconnecting, saying “Looks like the URL of your site has changed. In order to continue using Site Kit, you’ll need to reconnect, so that your plugin settings are updated with the new URL.”

I seem to be reconnecting this every time I log onto my site to administer it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks for reaching out @poultonfc. Based on the message you’re reporting repeatedly appearing, I suspect that the reason you’re facing this is because I can access your via non secure browsing (http) and also secure (https). From the checks I performed on your site, this seems to be based on mismatching URLS defined within your WordPress general settings.

In order to resolve this, follow the steps below:

    1. Visit your WordPress general settings page (Settings > General)
    2. Temporarily switch both your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” to https://poultonfc.com (with https)
    3. Log back into your site if requested

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you!

I’m just following up with you to check whether the error remains? I can see that your site URLs both reference your site as https, so hopefully the issue no longer occurs. Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Excellent, glad to hear it. If you run into any further issues, be sure to reach out. If you have a moment free please also consider leaving a review after testing out the dashboard, or if you’ve been a Site Kit user for some time. We’d love to hear your feedback.
