    Site Kit is connected but GA4 says data stream collection not active.
    It was working fine , but since 2-3 weeks, even after connecting it through site kit plugin multiple times , it shows data collection not active.
    if i reset the connection through site kit, it works for day or 2 and stops
    google search console works properly.

    Hi?@sp2023, thanks for getting in touch. To help further with this please can you share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred. Please include your hosting provider on the form.
    2. Any recordings or screenshots you can share of this.
    3. Please share any browser console errors that appear when checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window once more.

    I’d also suggest running through the troubleshooting steps in this guide to ensure there isn’t a conflict causing this.

    I also have the same issue. It looks like Site Kit does not put the G4 snippet, but keeps using the old analytics UA code.

    SO, when setting up the automatic switch from UA to G4 https://prnt.sc/g0iAQWsgDCgL

    I had to check the “Enable data collection using existing tags (analytics.js and gtag.js tags)” https://prnt.sc/Odj14wTmWPma

    and Analytics started collecting data… but I suppose this is not optimal.
