Site Kit Installed and Working – No information Available in Analytics
-
I have added a property to Analytics (several months ago), added Site Kit to the website and the information is displaying in Site Kit. When I check the property in Analytics there is absolutely no data. I have used tagassistant.google.com and everything seems to be firing as expected.

Hi @hardimanja,
Thanks for opening a support topic. That’s unusual that your Analytics dashboard is not showing any data. From inspecting your site and performing a check as you did on tagassistant.google.com the configuration seems correct, with hits Analytics hits firing.
So we can determine more on this can you share the following:
- A screenshot of your Analytics dashboard within Site Kit. You can use Imgur or Jumpshare to share a screenshot.
- Do you see any browser console errors when visiting your Analytics dashboard within Site Kit? If so please share here, or via a screenshot.
- When you visit Analytics directly using the Google account you used to setup Site Kit can you check that you have access to that connected property – UA-54***203-1.
Once we know of the above we can advise further. It may be a permissions related issue. We’ll know more once we have the above insights, in particular a screenshot of what you’re seeing.

I have collected 3 screenshots in Jumpshare. One is the Site Kit Dashboard. The second is Analytics indicating that there has been no data in the past 28 days and the third is a list of my properties – notice that the EastHantsFireService does not list the property with a UA-… number. I can see the UA-54***203-1 in Site Kit but I cannot find it in Analytics.
I am not getting any browser errors.
I have not used Jumpshare before but I have collected the screenshots in that app. I need your credentials to share.

I could send the links to the screen captures, but I don’t want to share the links publicly.
Jim
Hi Jim,
You can share a URL of the screenshots here. Alternatively what you can do is share what is the error message you’re encountering if any.
The second is Analytics indicating that there has been no data in the past 28 days and the third is a list of my properties
When you mention there is no data for the past 28 days you can check does this match with the data you see when visiting analytics.google.com, or do you see data if selecting different reporting periods within Site Kit?
– notice that the EastHantsFireService does not list the property with a UA-… number. I can see the UA-54***203-1 in Site Kit but I cannot find it in Analytics.
You can perform a search for that property via it’s UA ID within Analytics. Let me know if you need assistance with this. You’ll need to be logged in to Analytics using the same Google account which you’ve used to setup Site Kit.

Here are the URLs
1. Analytics Dashboard -> https://jumpshare.com/v/5lUE8xVhnV5FLKWM6myi
2. Site Kit Dashboard -> https://jumpshare.com/v/TpGtcSl5Ngnc54ECDMHQ
3. I did not include the third one as it has all of my other property IDs.I am using the same Analytics account. I searched for UA-54***203-1 and I cannot find it. The property has only the number 279***506.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for sharing, very useful. It looks like the Site Kit dashboards are displaying data. Can you confirm that there is no data only from analytics.google.com? If so then you may be looking at a different property. A quick way to check this is to use the Analytics link within Site Site, the “See full stats in Analytics” link.
After clicking on this link you’ll be directed to the Site Kit connected property. It’s possible you have more than one Google Analytics account, and you’re viewing analytics.google.com from another account. If you click on the link within Site Kit you’ll be signed into the Site Kit associated account.
Let me know how you get on with this check! And feel free to remove the screenshots on JumpShare now if you wish! Thank you.
James
I have accessed Analytics from within Site Kit through the “See full stats in Analytics” link and directly in Analytics. I have many properties and all but this one function. The others have not been upgraded and are not using Site Kit.
Jim
Hi Jim,
Thanks for the update. As the Site Kit dashboards are appearing as normal but not the dashboards within analytics.google.com, as per your previous screenshots would it be possible for you to share a screen recording of this experience, using RecordIt, Loom or any other method you prefer?
You can share privately using this form.
Ideally if you can show your Site Kit dashboards with data and then click on the follow through “See full stats in Analytics” link. Please do this from a Chrome browser incognito window, to ensure there is no issue with multiple Google Accounts open from the same browser session.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above. We’ll then see if we notice anything unusual.
James
I have shared the screen recording on the form from above.

Hi Jim,
Many thanks for sharing. The video was very useful indeed. What I can see is happening is the Universal Type (UA- prefix) property that is connected to Site Kit is setup and working fine, with the metrics appearing in both your Site Kit dashboard and also at analytics.google.com. The property you then switch to is a Google Analytics 4 type property.
While the dashboards within Site Kit will only display data based on the Universal Type Analytics property at present you can allow the plugin to insert both a Universal Type and a Google Analytics 4 type property. Data will then be collected on the Google Analytics 4 property which you’re reviewing within analytics.google.com.
You can ensure Site Kit inserts the Google Analytics 4 property by navigating to your Site Kit settings (Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit ). I’ve added a screenshot below of the configuration you’ll need to apply:
Let me know how you get on with apply that configuration. I’m happy to check your setup once you’ve done so.
James
Thank you for the explanation. I can see now what you are talking about, however I am somewhat confused. I do not want the HardimanImages.com (UA) property connected with this site but the easthantsfireservice.ca site. This easthantsfireservice.ca site was the first time I set up a type 4 property and clearly I have done something wrong. How do I set up only easthantsfireservice.ca in site kit? Is it possible to convert it to a UA property like the rest of my sites?

Hi Jim,
You can connect the plugin to whatever property you prefer. The plugin will ask you to select your preferred property UA and your GA4 during setup – as long as you don’t already have a non Site Kit placed snippet for both inserted on your site.
If you do have a non Site Kit placed UA or GA4 snippet on your site then the plugin will use these non Site Kit placed snippets when connecting the module, in order to ensure you don’t have duplicate snippets of either.
Let me know if that makes sense, and if you need assistance connecting to your preferred property.
I’ve checked your site at present and I can now see only a GA4 snippet present. While I’m unsure what you titled this property you can see the connected references in this screenshot.
Note also that you’ll need a connected UA property in order to view Analytics data within your Site Kit dashboards. Site Kit shows data from the UA property type at present.
James
You have been very helpful. I setup Site Kit on Easthantsfireservice.ca yesterday to only Place Google Analytics 4 code screenshot ->( https://jumpshare.com/v/IW0DEMW4kTOf78wUpPY5 ) but the Dashboard is still displaying the information for the UA Property screenshot ->( https://jumpshare.com/v/oz0nlWVST3OLv7MUSz9A ). In Analytics, the Realtime data is just now showing but nothing else and it has been about 20 hours (such as no acquisition data)- is this the behaviour I should expect with GA4? screenshot -> ( https://jumpshare.com/v/wfKvmfl1gKE5sFv9PYcc )
Jim
Hi Jim,
Glad to hear that was helpful. I’ve checked your screenshots and you are correct, you have only now placed the GA4 snippet. This is also evident from checking https://tagassistant.google.com.
but the Dashboard is still displaying the information for the UA Property screenshot ->(
Your Site Kit dashboards only display information from a connected Universal Type (UA-) property, so this is normal. Google Analytics 4 is the next generation of Google Analytics and still not fully out of Beta mode. Once it’s more common the Site Kit dashboards will display data for the connected Google Analytics 4 property.
If you’re looking to track your data and view statistics within Site Kit you may wish to allow the plugin to also insert your Universal Type Analytics snippet, as you have done with your GA4 snippet. Let me know if you need help with this (Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit ).
In Analytics, the Realtime data is just now showing but nothing else and it has been about 20 hours (such as no acquisition data)- is this the behaviour I should expect with GA4? screenshot ->
I would expect you just have to wait a bit longer for data to populate. I can confirm the setup is correct and data is gathering on this GA4 property. Unfortunately data will only start to be gathered from when the snippet appeared first on your site, resulting in this wait.
Let me know if you need any further information on the above.
James
Thank you. Sorry to continue capitalizing on your time, however, I would like to see the stats in Site Kit – the main reason that I am using it. However I do not have a UA snippet for Easthantsfireservice.ca as it was set up as a GA4 property. This would require me to insert a snippet from another property (like HardimanImages.com as I had done in error before) and that makes little sense to me. Can I also make a UA property with easthantsfireservice.ca? This does seem to make the GA4 property irrelevant for now.
