    Hello,

I keep getting the error ‘looks like your URL changed’ and Site Kit just disconnects.
I’ve seen more people on the forum and GitHub with similar issues, but not yet with the TranslatePress plugin. I think the translation of the site causes it by changing the URL based on language (/nl or /de etc.).

Is there any info on a fix of this problem?
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for reaching out, we can test this out from our side and to try and replicate. While I set this up can you inform me of the following:

    1. At what stage do you encounter this notification (ie. Each time you switch languages as a logged in administrator)
    2. Has this been an ongoing issue since you’ve installed Site Kit or has this suddenly started occurring?
    3. Can you share your Site Health information privately via this form so we can inspect your current setup and plugin versions.

    Hello James,

    1. It seems to be pretty randomly. But there is more than one administrator, so maybe when someone changes the language it already disconnects.

    2. It has been an issue since we installed Site Kit a couple of weeks ago.

    3. I just filled in the form.

    Looking forward hearing from you!

Thanks for the update. We’ve tested TranslatePress from our side, without encountering the same issue. I did however notice a couple of TranslatePress extension plugins you have active, which we didn’t test. Along with the additional administrators having the ability to make modify the settings I suspect it’s possible to run into such issues.

As you already have the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin active can you check for the same issue while in troubleshooting mode with just the core TranslatePress plugin and Site Kit active? You may need to redo Site Kit setup once, but please check if switching between languages works while in troubleshooting mode.

To access troubleshooting mode navigate to “Plugins >; Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.

@sammanders just providing an update that we’re working with the TranslatePress team to help address this in this Github issue. Feel free to follow it and we’ll also provide an update about resolution here.

    Following.

I too just installed Translatepress and am receiving this message. In the meantime, can you confirm that this does not effect data collection in google analytics? Thank you.

@sammanders @mrjosephrivera Just to keep you updated on this issue we’re awaiting an update from the TranslatePress side on a solution we’ve proposed for full compatibility, to ensure users don’t get disconnected.

In the meantime can you install and activate this mini plugin and check whether the issue persists? You’ll need to download the zip file and upload, install and activate as a standard WordPress plugin.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

@mrjosephrivera @sammanders Just to let you know that TranslatePress have confirmed they’ll have this fix in place for their next update as per this support topic.

After that release feel free to get in touch should you have any issues. In the meantime the mini plugin previously suggested should allow you to use Site Kit without disconnection! Many thanks
