I have installed Site Kit 1.17 on my blog at meganthemisconception.com
All’s well, except for Analytics, which reports:
“Error: We’ve detected there’s already an existing Analytics tag on your site (ID UA-39589360-10), but your account doesn’t seem to have access to this Analytics property. You can either remove the existing tag and connect to a different account, or request access to this property from your team.”
I can’t find the tag by searching a page’s source.
I have tried disabling other plug-ins, but it is always the same.
    Any ideas, please?
    Regards,
    Owen

  • @owencerijones thanks for reaching out!

While it doesn’t look like you have Site Kit activated currently, I was able to spot the Analytics ID it is flagging in the source code of your site: https://jmp.sh/F1jTfh5

It is the AMP implementation of the code snippet, and it does look like you’re using the official AMP plugin. Could you check if this is present in its settings (AMP > Analytics)?

    Hi Renee,
You probably looked at my site while or just after I screwed it up by loading different themes. This attempt at isolating the problem garbled the CSS, and I had to revert to a previous back-up.
Anyway, when my site had been restored, I deleted the AMP entry with the GA tag you are referring to, and now everything is working perfectly!
I have also installed Optimise and Tag Manager.
    Thanks for your help.
    Best wishes,
    Owen
