I am trying to add the site kit by google to gain access to Adsense. When I install and activated the plugin, the search console does not load and the Adsense category shows this error message, “Error: The response is not a valid JSON response.”

I am not a coder and do not know how to figure this out at all.
I need help as soon as possible, thank you !

  • Hey,

Just for the confirmation are you asking for this website mentioned in your profile?

We have reviewed this website & its not fully configured with SSL. Home page is on http & other pages are redirecting to https & not accessible. So its a very good chance, you have configured the Site Kit first & then install SSL.

Would you mind to fix SSL issue first, Reset Site Kit and attempt setup once more.

Let us know if you are still facing the issue after doing above activities.

    Best Regards,

We are closing this ticket as we didn’t hear back. Please feel free to open a ticket in case of any queries.

    Have a great day!

I did not get a notification for your 1st message, I did not see it I am so sorry. I tried to re-start the site kit plug in and it still shows up with that message. I am not sure what you mean by SSL?

*Yes the website I am talking about is foreveraparadise.com.

    Hey,

Thanks for getting back to us & no need to say sorry. We are here to help you ??

We can see AdSense code is placed on your website added by Site Kit. Can you please check the AdSense account status & site status from the AdSense service?

On a side note, can you please ask your host provider to fix the SSL issue as your website’s internal pages are still showing 500 Internal Error. Please see the screenshot.

the Adsense status still says the error message, “Error: The response is not a valid JSON response.”

I will ask Bluehost to fix the SSL error right now.

The host provider sent me to the SSL checker and everything was checked green and is active. https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=foreveraparadise.com

    Hey,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Did you try to setup Site Kit in incognito window?

To troubleshoot this issue we need to check what’s happening at your end. Please share Site Health info via form privately. We’ll try to recreate the issue by creating same setup at our end & then share update with you.

It’d be also great if you can share a screenshot of the error or recoding when you are trying to setup AdSense. That’d be helpful for us to understand the issue.

You can use Loom or Recordit service & send via the same form privately.

    Have a great weekend.

I took screen shots of what my Adsense account is currently showing. When I pulled it up at 2:22pm today (2/26/21) The error message changed. It now says two error messages at the top when I try to complete the set up. I am not sure how to finish setting it up correctly. I am not sure how to send the screen shots to you.

I have submitted the site health info to you through the form as well.

    Hi @foreveraparadise,

I don’t see the screenshots here – can you please share? The forums do not support screenshot uploads, so you can share one via a link generated by Imgur or JumpShare.
