Hello, I continue to get the following message, I think subsequent to the latest update, although Site Kit was working perfectly before.

Looks like the URL of your site has changed. In order to continue using Site Kit, you’ll need to reconnect, so that your plugin settings are updated with the new URL.

I’ve tried all the usual to clear cookies and site data, close chrome and restart, but I get the same issue on Firefox.

Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks for reaching out. Can you try follow the steps below in order to get connected?

    1. Temporarily switch your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from https tp http (or vice version if you don’t have a https website) in your WordPress “General Settings” configuration
    2. Log back into your site once requested and then undo the changes you made (reverting back to the full address with https
    3. Attempt setup once more

If the above fails please share your Site Health information privately using this form and we can investigate further.

It worked for about 10 minutes then back to the same message.
I filled in the above form with site health info
    Thanks in advance

Many thanks for sharing. I don’t see anything unusual from the information provided. Have you tried using the disconnect button the top right of Site Kit?

If that fails can you inform me of the below:

    1. Did you make any changes to your site recently which may have triggered this notice by adding variations of your site URL? (ie. /en or /fr with language plugins, https enabled)
    2. Do you encounter any console errors on the screen whereby you’re asked to reconnect?

For some reason, the default site address in the analytics property was https:// and not https://

My guess is it should hold now.
    Thanks for the clues,
    Kind regards,
    Mark

For me this worked (until now)

Hi, I have the same problem when I switch from ITA (main language) to ENG in my administrator dashboard, using the flag icon on the top bar (WPML plug-in).

@markjl Thanks for the update. Just to confirm that you’ve now switched the protocol within the Anlytics web interface?

Yes many thanks that’s resolved by changing the property in Analytics from HTTP:// to https:// Site kit now stays connected. Tx

    Ah no.
    It’s disconnected again …

@markjl thanks for the update and sorry this reoccurred. It does look like you are using the WMPL plugin as other users have reported.

Could you tell me if this only occurs when you switch the language in the top admin or just randomly?

@markjl just a quick follow up that we’ll be investigating this further in this Github issue. Feel free to follow it and we’ll also keep you updated in this thread.

Well spotted. I can reproduce this behaviour. Changing the WPML language selector from EN to FR to EN makes site kit disconnect.

Thanks. Hope you find the solution, please keep us posted.

    Same here, diconnected again.

I have the same issue. Also using WPML. It happens even if I don’t change language and it also does not help if I reconnect. Same message pops up within a minute or two.

I have made no changes to the site at all (and no changes to the protocol), except updating to the latest Site Kit (1.17.0) as well as latest WPML.
