• I have been having this issue with my site for the last three days. I keep getting the following 503 error:

    Service Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Apache Server at buildingadvisor.com Port 80

Godaddy assures me that it is not on my their end and that everything is running correctly. The issue above happens every few minutes. One minute you’re browsing the next you get a 503 error.

https://buildingadvisor.com is the site. I’ve added comment spam protection, disabled comments in case it was a hacker/spammer and have gotten no where. Any would be much much much appreciated.

  • It’s a server error. The official definition of the 503 status code is:

The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server.

It’s the hosting server not having the resources to keep up with it’s demand – unless Godaddy are doing maintenance on it every few minutes…

Godaddy is well known around here as not the greatest hosting company around, so unless you’re stuck there I’d suggest exploring other options. (please don’t ask for suggestions in here as that will get this thread shut down instantly)

For what it’s worth, I’ve had them tell me straight out ‘that’s nothing to do with us’ when I’ve been able to prove that it was, and it still didn’t change their response.

I’ve beeen having same isuue for a week.

All of my websites are down and keep getting 503error.

I’ve contacted to Godaddy so many times but anytime they give me useless advice.
