    I have a site under 3.0, that is overlaping the bandwith over 3gb!!!

    Although it has not much content, perhaps it’s related to bad plugins or stats services.
    I was thinking it could be generated by error logs, or/and: revised posts db, linked invisible spam bots, or the simply the site traffic.

    Any idea or example why is this happening?

    That site has indeed many vistors per day, let me check and I’ll get back to you.
    It’s possible that it’s related to a stats service or linked to different websites, because is a very famous site since many years.

    Otherwise, I just tried to upgrade to 3.05, and it didn’t work.

    Maybe you should consider using some kind of data compression, or optimizing the images on your site, or something to that effect.

    WordPress doesn’t create your site bandwidth, your visitors downloading things like images and CSS and such do. Make those smaller, and your bandwidth use will go down.

    However, 3 GB is really not particularly high, IMO. That’s well within the “free” range of most hosting companies plans.

    hmm, well… something happend when it tried to upgrade. Now it shows this error and I cannot access the wp-admin, although the site is normal.

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_network_admin() in /…/wp-admin/admin-header.php on line 16

    Any ideas how to fix this please?

    Re-apply the upgrade. If that fails, try a manual upgrade. Basically, though, it was incomplete for some reason.

    As for caching and compression, try W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache.

    Ok all set now, the manual upgrade was the only solution, but it went all smooth.

    I heard also from another source about W3TC and superC.
