Site Health Status Critical Issue: An active PHP session was detected

  • The full error message is: “A PHP session was created by a session_start() function call. This interferes with REST API and loopback requests. The session should be closed by session_write_close() before making any HTTP requests.”

    The only plugin on my website having ‘session_start()’ in its code is Post SMTP.

    Please correct this error.

  • I had the same yesterday too. Ran a malware scan today and:

    html/wp-content/plugins/post-smtp/Postman/PostmanPluginFeedback.php-infected

    is there something going on?
