I installed the free Hummingbird a few days ago. I was receiving the message below in Site Health before I installed Hummingbird and am still receiving it. Did I do something incorrectly in setting up the plugin?

Page cache is detected but the server response time is still slow Performance

Page cache enhances the speed and performance of your site by saving and serving static pages instead of calling for a page every time a user visits.

Page cache is detected by looking for an active page cache plugin as well as making three requests to the homepage and looking for one or more of the following HTTP client caching response headers:cache-control, expires, age, last-modified, etag, x-cache-enabled, x-cache-disabled, x-srcache-store-status, x-srcache-fetch-status.

    • Median server response time was 1,896 milliseconds. It should be less than the recommended 600 milliseconds threshold.
    • No client caching response headers were detected.
    • A page cache plugin was detected.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @sharenmcarthurgmailcom,

I hope this message finds you well.

While Page Caching can help, there are other factors that can affect the server response time. I ran a performance test using Google PageSpeed Insights and noticed the following improvement opportunities.

    Minimize main-thread work
Reduce the impact of third-party code
    Properly size images

Addressing the above issues should help reduce the server response time. We have a comprehensive Optimization Guide that should help you optimize the website further, please find the same here: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/hummingbird/#optimization-guide

I hope that helps. Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any clarification.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John
