    Greetings!

I am using your plugin while developing a new catalog shop and everything is working perfectly, except two cURL errors 28 in Site Health page of WordPress. They are marked as Critical Issues – Performance. WordPress core and plugins are all updated and we tracked down the issue to your plugin, by disabling and re-enabling all plugins one by one.

    The messages shown are:
    1. The REST API encountered an error
The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    2. Your site could not complete a loopback request
Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.

The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

Anything we can do to remove these issues?

  • @flipsidewm, thanks for reaching WCMp Support!!

Our plugin WooCommerce Catalog Enquiry doesn’t cUrl. Hence can you please check which plugin is causing this issue.

    Please keep us posted also.

@dualcube thank you for the fast reply!

This is very strange then, because I disabled all plugins except Woocommerce and WC Catalog Enquiry and used Twenty Nineteen theme. Still I had the same two errors that disappeared when I disabled your plugin and we tested it in the new WordPress 5.2.2 version as well. So it couldn’t be a theme conflict either and it definitely seems that it is due to the WC Catalog Enquiry plugin.

Perhaps even though your plugin doesn’t use cURL, it conflicts with its usage in WordPress? If you have any other ideas for us to test, feel free to let me know because we are stumped at the moment.

    Hi
I have the same problem. It’s a 100% problem with free version WC Catalog Enquiry plugin.
My hosting support told me to contact the plugin developers and ask for the IP and port they connect to and we can look into whitelisting that.
    Thanks

@ptal77, our free plugin WC Catalog Enquiry doesn’t use cUrl and we also don’t use any IP.

We only use session. So, the issue should not come from our plugin.

Can you please ask the server to check this again, whether any other plugin is causing this issue.
