• I apologize for my raft of posts to this forum, one after another, but I am trying to make sense of different things that Site Health is telling me and I thought it would be best to keep each topic distinct.

Site Health tells me “Background updates may not be working properly” and it “Could not confirm that the wp_version_check() filter is available.” But my site has been auto-updating successfully for years.

What other relevance does this warning have to the operation of my site? What should I do to eliminate this warning?

Once again, thank you for your support.

    Hiya,

I noticed you had another topic about loopback requests failing, the check you are referring to here is unfortunately tied in to that at the moment, and relies on loopbacks working to get an accurate result.

If automatic updates are working, that’s a good sign, and you can disregard this warning, and instead focus on the loopback ones ??
