Site has vanished…sort of

  • Since yesterday, I have been unable to view my website (https://babygotbooks.com) on my computers, iPad, phone, etc. I was first notified by a fried who also couldn’t see it. There is no error message, the site just fails to appear.

    I checked with my webhost, they can see it fine. I can actually view the web site via internet web proxy (newipnow.com) and this website says it’s just me (https://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com) – but it’s not. I have cleared my cache on three different browsers and even flushed my DNS. Nothing.

    Any ideas on what could possibly be going on? I think that this may be a WordPress issue, because my WordPress phone app also can’t “see” the website and I get cannot connect error messages there. Help!

    I’m back up and running. I have a clean install and am able to actually access the site. Changed passwords, changed secret keys in wp-config.php file. Running Exploit Scanner now to look for problems.

    Good for you! Phew! Just be sure you went through all those resources to make sure that whatever access they had is now closed…and crossing your fingers never hurts either :)!!
