Site has slowed to a crawl

  • Today the load times both on the admin dash and the site itself slowed to a crawl for seemingly no reason.

    I ran a couple site speed tests online, and the result came back that this seemed to be the culprit:

    wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=upfw_css

    The connect on the CSS took 3 seconds then 18 seconds of waiting. THEN finally the rest of the site loaded in.

    The total load time on the site stands at 60 seconds. Clearly this is insane and just won’t do.

    Looking around other areas of the forums, I noticed that several people suggested deactivating all the plugins and then refreshing to see if it made a difference. It didn’t.
