Site hanging after upgrade to 3.3.4

    Our site uses Gravity Forms and WP HTML Mail and it’s hanging since we updated WP HTML Mail to 3.3.4. Whenever the site tries to send a notification after submitting a form, the page hangs until it timeouts.

    Our site uses PHP 7.4 and the error_log file contains this message:

    PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function str_starts_with() in public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-html-mail/includes/class-haet-mail.php:342
