Posts will take longer to load the first time that they are loaded once the plugin is activated. Picturefill.WP needs to make all the new @2x images and that will take some time, especially on image heavy posts. After all of the images are created, page loads should be at least as fast or faster than they were before.

Try loading the page a few times and see how it is responding. If it is consistently slow, we may have to dig a little deeper to try to figure out where the issue is. Have you made any customizations to the plugin functionality via functions.php?

Thanks for bringing up your issue.

Thanks for getting back to me, I am just about to re activate your plugin and get back to you in a bit to see if all runs smoothly, I have not made any changes to your plugin but my site is a picture website which is probably why its taking a while to load when I 1st enable it.

    Thanks
