• I am moving my website from Hello Elementor to Astra. I have made a staging copy of my website and I am doing the changes on there but its not working as expected.?

If I add a edit a container, it all looks ok on the Elementor preview, but when I go to preview it “live” nothing comes up right – all the layout is completely jumbled and not displaying correctly and there is no spacing. Some images are huge and there doesn’t seem to be any containers/grid/formatting. Same happens when I change view in the customiser it looks fine but when I view the changes on the live site there are the same issues.

Also when I am in the elementor editor, some sections have a different colour to the live version and the size is off (coming up full screen instead of 1200px).

    I have tried the following:

    • I have cleared my server and browser cache and deleted cookies
    • I have tried on a different browser and several different devices
    • I have deactivated all plugins except Elementor and the issue persists
    • I have changed from Astra theme to Twenty Twenty Four
    • I have tried adding a new page instead of editing an existing page
    • I have Regenerated CSS and cleared all caches
    • I have checked Elementor > Site Settings > Layout to ensure it matches 1200px and also Appearance > Customize > Global > Container and ensured the width is set correctly.?
    • I have tried changing the page templates
    • I am not using any cachin plugins

and I still have the same issues

I have checked the developer tools and I can see some errors – one of which being failed to load style sheet but I do not know how to resolve this.

    Please can you help?

    Hi @idowebsitedesign

    I hope you’re doing well.

Have you tried performing a search and replace from the live URL to the newly created staging site? Elementor also has a built-in search and replace tool that you might find useful.

Additionally, you can try clearing the cache by generating CSS and syncing the library. You may also need to run "wp cache flush" or clear the cache through your hosting tools.

Lastly, check if your WordPress memory limit is sufficient to handle Elementor.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,
    Allen
