Can you undo the changes you have made?
Where exactly did you make the changes? In your theme or WordPress core files?

Its easier to use the header method in that post.

Krishna : I made changes in Theme functions.php file from WP – Admin Control panel

kwaimind: I dont have backup. I foloow the steps mentioned in the first post my message and put the code in functions.php file in taht theme.

Can you rename the current theme (add -HOLD) and revert to Twenty Thirteen theme so that you may be able to login to your dashboard?

If you still cannot sign in to your dashboard, deactivate all plugins too by renaming the plugins folder.

Krishna: Thanks for the prompt reply.

I tested both of them but nothing works. Error remains the same

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/personal/public_html/sites/1013/iwona-wood/wp-content/themes/freelance/functions.php on line 63

Krishna, can you tell me where that google analytics code goes. I cant see in the functions.php file where I save and after facing this error I think.

I dont have backup also. Please find another solution. to let the admin panel start working on

Sorry, whatever support is provided is through these forums only.

If you cannot login to your dashboard, you may use FTP/ your hosting control panel to rename your plugins folder and to rename your theme to revert to the default WordPress theme.

    (@etaleem)

Krishna, its ok for here also.

with reference of the abpve URL I follow the same steps

Via FTP or your host’s file manager, navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
    2. Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”

Error remains the same and I cant see the WP-Admin login page. The only effect I can see the TITLE and SEO is gine from the webpages.

But still I cant see Admin page to login to and wp-manager not working. Please check the error on site.

Where I can find that Google Analytics code which i applied on the functions.php in the theme. its not there. and webpage shows error on line # 63, but the file shows less rows.

    Please suggest.

Sorry, you are still running your old theme that causes all the trouble. I suggested you how to change your theme and plugins as you can read above. Also note that nothing can be done unless you make changes as I suggested above.

    Thread Starter etaleem

    (@etaleem)

I rename all the themes and plugins and let the twentythirteen remain. but site is down and error stand remains.

There is no effect in error.

Sorry, I find the same theme.

Do you have much content in your site?
Do you have a recent backup of your site? If no, can you get a backup to restore your site?

    Thread Starter etaleem

    (@etaleem)

Yes, the site is working very perfectly
    https://iwonawood.com

but the WP-Admin is nto working and giving me the error.

I dont have any backup, I was only applying Google Analytics Code following the steps mention in this URL https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-install-google-analytics-in-wordpress/#_methods=onPlusOne%2C_ready%2C_close%2C_open%2C_resizeMe%2C_renderstart%2Concircled%2Cdrefresh%2Cerefresh%2Conload&id=I0_1384552744667&parent=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wpbeginner.com&pfname=&rpctoken=0

Applied GA code in Functions.php file in the same theme. when I applied error started. I dont understand where that GA code goes, I cant see any of the file. please suggect which file save that information. is there any way to find the code in any of the file so I can remove it.

Site is working fine and only WP-Admin not working
