If i go to Appearance->Editor the editor stops loading. The black stripe, normally in ceasing in size, stops after approximately 10%.
This happened after changing the permalink setting. The only way to come around this, is to change the permalink setting to “plain”. All other settings do not work.
I have a fresh install of WP 6.4.3, no plugins installed. This is a test setup for trying full site editing.

I already deleted cache and cookies from my FF browser. That did not help.
Any further ideas how to solve this ?

  • Hi there,

That is odd. Can you please try from a different browser? If the issue still persists, then please check the browser console (you can Google “how to view browser console”) and let us know what errors you see in console.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I tried this with the Chrome browser, but with the same result.

I opened a browser console (to be honest, I am not familiar with that) and it showed me the following

This translates to (Translated with DeepL.com)

Layout display was forced before the page was fully loaded. If stylesheets are not yet loaded, this can lead to a temporary display of the content without formatting. 5ea0c184-2d61-469d-a31b-4f49b19c6ab4The cookie "" was rejected as a third-party provider. load-scripts.phpRequest for access to cookies or memory for "https://zimservice2.de/7986hu/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=0&load%5Bchunk_0%5D=wp-polyfill-inert,regenerator-runtime,wp-polyfill&ver=6.4.3" was blocked because all requests for memory access for websites not directly accessed (third-party providers) are blocked and the blocking of page elements is activated.

Unfortunately that does not say much to me. I hope that helps somehow.

Hello all, unfortunately i have the same problem on a different installation. I can not imagine, that I am the only one having this issue.
    Any help available ?

OK, after lots of juggling around with all kind of advice I found the reason why its not working:

tata … in my Apache Configuration File the working directory was marked with “AllowOverride None”. With this the .htaccess and its WordPress part are not in effect what causes the problem. After changing it to “AllowOverride All” it worked like charm again.
