I am trying out the 2024 theme. I get stuff I did not put there. A header that says: Mindblown: a blog about philosophy.” and at the bottom: “Got any book recommendations?” and a button that says:

    Get In Touch

George Appiah kindly told me what to do:

Those are elements that come with the theme, that you can easily edit/remove in “Site Editor”.

But when I access the site editor I just get an entirely black page.

I linked to the page I am having a problem with – which you obviously cannot access – just so it is clear where I am having this issue.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This problem may be a plugin conflict. Please attempt to deactivate all plugins. If the problem goes away, re-activate them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install?Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins for you while you’re still logged in?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Many thanks James. So simple and so obvious once I have done it. And so useful for the future. WPForms Lite was the culprit. ‘This plugin has not been tested with this version of WordPress’ was a bit of a giveaway!
