• Hi,

    Background:
There was a virus alert on my website, following which I had reuploaded all the files from the earlier backup on to ftp. I’ve been facing this error ever since.

    The error:

Warning: require(/home/vaacikaa/public_html/hpskids.net/wp-includes/load.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/vaacikaa/public_html/hpskids.net/wp-settings.php on line 21

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/vaacikaa/public_html/hpskids.net/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/vaacikaa/public_html/hpskids.net/wp-settings.php on line 21

I’m a newbie kindly guide on how to resolve this error.

    Many Thanks

  • This is probably a good time to use FTP and upload a FRESH copy of the WordPress files over the files you have up right now.

It will also be wise to take out the directory of the theme you have activated as well to see if the error does not show up as well.
