    Hello,

I’m currently running the Fremedy Child Theme on top of Genesis.

I was working on installing a slider, and accidentally saved my function.php file when not meaning to. Now WordPress is really giving me trouble. Every part of the site now gives me this error message:

“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/13/9973413/html/wp-content/themes/fremedy/functions.php on line 56”

What should I do? I’m getting pretty frustrated, and as a newbie to php any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Nick

  • Upload an unedited copy of the child theme’s functions.php file to wp-content/themes/fremedy using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Thank you, esmi. I didn’t know where the child theme functions.php was saved, but after you led me to that area of the directory I was able to edit out the erroneous code. All good now.

    Excellent ??
