Hi, I just installed your plugin, added some custom links, selected rewrite, saved and my site went down! Internal server error and I can’t even access my dashboard or restore a backup from vaultpress. I’m totally panicking right now. I saw another post that this has happened before and you were able to resolve it, so I’m hoping you can help me too. You can email me at heatherwattsarts at gmail.com

    Fingers crossed!

My hosting company was able to disable the plugin by renaming it. I restored my site using vaultpress. After the site restore I still had some problems with pages other than my homepage showing up white, but they seem to be fine now.

The hosting company said there were two problems, one with the plugin file and one with htaccess. The plugin will have disappeared with the site restore, but I don’t know if my htaccess has been restored back or not. I have a message in to vaultpress to find out if htaccess would have been backed up and restored.

    Fingers crossed again…
    I’ll keep you posted.

Good news, I received this reply from Vaultpress:
“VaultPress also backs up and restores the .htaccess file(s), and you can see it in your latest backup here as well (link removed for post)This being said, you might encounter linking issues after restores. In those cases, we suggest heading to the Settings -> Permalinks page and clicking the “Save Changes” button which will force the permalinks structure to be rebuilt.”

I did have a few linking issues but they seem to have disappeared. I’m going to see if my hosting company can confirm everything looks good on the backend.

    Hi Heather,

I’m very sorry you experienced those issues with my plugin. Generally I am very quick in helping, but unfortunately I never receive notifications when there is a support thread opened here.

If you continue to have problems, please email me at hello at codestic dot com and I will lend a hand.

    Thanks!
