Site down – can't access wp admin either

  • I get this error when I try to access my website (https://email-marketing-software-solutions.com):

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/emailmar/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-ds-faq/wp-ds-faq.php on line 60

    I can’t access wp admin either.

    I installed the plugin several months ago an never had any issues.

    I went to the cpanel and phymyadmin and deactivated all the plugins. Didn’t help.

    Then I deleted the “wp-ds-faq” folder. But the issue is still not resolved.

    PHP version is 5.2.14

    Any ideas what can be done to resolve this problem? I need to get my site up again urgently.

    go and double check that the directory for wp-ds-faq in wp-content/plugins has been deleted.

    It’s deleted alright but my website is up again and the plugin is working fine. I see that it’s active in wp admin. There is something going on with my web host. I’ll have to find out from them.
