Slider has been working for more than a year. Recently noticed images were truncated and off-center, went to edit the page. Received message, “Your site doesn’t include support for the Gutenslider block. You can try installing the block, convert it to a Custom HTML block, or remove it entirely.”

Indeed, while Gutenberg was installed, Gutenslider was not. Installed it. Restarted everything. No change. System health check shows no problems, Gutenslider is shown as active on the list of installed plugins.

Selecting “Install Gutenslider” in response to above message seemed to cause other blocks on same page to be corrupted; recovery was successful. Each recovery reported, “Error registering block. Try reloading the page.” Reload did not change anything.

Have since deleted Gutenberg as no longer needed. No change to above issue.
