• Hi,

    Soon after I upgraded WP to 2.2 this past saturday, I noticed that I.E refuses to display my blog (https://superstarksa.com) properly. Before that day, no one had ever complained about it and I don’t use IE either. So it was a surprise to me.

    I assumed that WP 2.2 was the cause and went through and did every step that Fantastico mentioned to undo the changes. Now my WP is back to 2.1.3 as before (I think), but the IE display issues remain. The only visible error that I.E throws up at me is this. I think line 83 that is mentioned in the screenshot has only “<body>”

    I do not see any issues with Firefox.

    Can someone guide me on what to look for so that I can resolve this issue?

    Btw, I am using a slightly modified (small cosmetic changes like font color) version of the KKP Light template.

  • have you looked at your source?

    have you validated your site?

    Just ONE of your problems is being caused by a recent upgrade changing your <embed .. tags to <ibed ..

    ie,

    <div class="entry">
    <center><br>
    <ibed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="320" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&amp;RGB=0x000000&amp;feed...

    Thats just 1 problem thats going to affect how ie sees the site.

    That happening, is covered already too, you can find more info here:

    Thank you for that input. I realized that that the picasaweb album might be the issue (I use the Embedded video with Link plugin for youtube videos) because of the ibed tags and I moved that post (along with the other two youtube posts, just in case) to draft, but it still did not resolve it.

    Actually I see that on IE, a couple of posts with just text (and an image or two) are missing completely. And I have had that Picasaweb post for a week, but this issue did not seem to crop up till I upgraded.

    But having said all that, I shall use that Viper Video Quick tags link and see if that makes a difference. I shall also go through those posts about the ibed tag much more carefully than I just did to see if I can get something out of it.
