Site declared unsafe by Microsoft Edge (due to youtube placeholder)

Hello,
since yesterday sites on which the Youtube integration is active are declared as unsafe and suspicious by Microsofts Edge Browser – despite https. This issue is triggered by the youtube placeholder and never happened before.
I attached a screenshot in the link text field.
I deactivated the placeholder integration which makes the issue disappear.
I dont need the placeholder .. so i am kind of fine and dont need direct help. But it seems to be a very significant problem in general though, which is why I opened a public ticket… basically just letting you know.

Only disabling the placeholder is actually not enough. I also need the deactivate the whole integration, which indeed is a problem.

We’ve had trouble reproducing this (in our tests with Edge there is no issue to be found), but we think this might be caused because a browser does not expect a .mp4 video as source for an iframe. It is not a security issue, but somehow Edge misinterprets it as such.
When Youtube is blocked, the original source is replaced with an empty video in .mp4 format. This was originally added because some plugins have trouble with the page if there is no source pointing to Youtube in an iframe. We are currently testing a change where this placeholder video is dropped in favour of an “about:blank” string.
If you are interested, you can test this branch.
If not problems are encountered, this branch will get merged with 4.9.0.
