• My site only crashes when you try to load it with IE 7. Every other browser including IE 8 works perfectly… is there an easy way to figure out what’s causing the glitch or will this be a painstaking process? I have about 12 plugins running with WooThemes ‘Gazette’ theme as my current theme.

Anyone have any tips for me? ??

    Thanks in advance,

  • I was able to load it in IE7 in both standards and quirks mode without any problems or crashing. Have you tried loading it on other machines? How exactly is the site “crashing?”

Broke of halfway at first try in IE7 with warning “could not open etc”, still showing half the frontpage; opened up in second try without any warning.

    Errors, see here: https://www.xhtml-css.com/

henkholland, thanks for that website. Apparently my page has tons of errors based on the results here. Your IE7 error is exactly what everyone is reporting but I have no clue how to narrow down the issue here.

    Any idea where to start?

Normally at the beginning (no joke) because correcting the first often influences the next ons(s).

For the specific brake-off in IE7 I copied from the status bar:

Could not see it in full. But if that is the problem? Also at that moment Facebook was still loading.

Actually the validation results don’t help me either.
    I am not a programmer.
Firefox has an error console Ctrl+Shift+J and better validation tools under Extra/Webdeveloper/Tools
