Site crashed after latest Customizr Theme Update

    Hi, would be grateful for any advice for what to do to troubleshoot my site gooseling.com crashing with this fatal error right after doing the latest Customizr Theme Update:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_customize_preview() in /home/lisada6/public_html/gooseling.com/wp-content/themes/customizr/inc/czr-init.php on line 385

    I can’t access my WordPress admin site the usual way so assume I need to go into my web host files and admin. I’m an entrepreneur doing my own web site work – I’ve become very familiar and comfortable with WordPress but am not a web programmer and haven’t ever seen anything like this so would be so appreciative of any help or tips.

    I was able to restore my web site using my back up with my web host’s help. I reverted back to the older 3.2.17 version of Customizr running on WordPress 3.9.14 and the site is running fine now. I don’t know if the problem is I need to update to current version of WordPress before I update the Customizr theme or if there is another problem. I’m afraid to update Customizr without finding out more about why it crashed my site with a fatal error as two technical support reps from my web hosting company verified that the new version of Customizr is what crashed the site. Appreciate any ideas anyone has about what might have caused it and what to do to be able to update the theme. I really like Customizr and haven’t had any problems with it till now. Thanks!

    It is indeed recommended to update to latest or one of the later version of WordPress.

    Got the same issue when trying to update to 3.4.37. How can we resolve this and have the theme updated?
