Site Crash

@lbrashear Do you have any details like error messages or an error log file? Also make sure you are on the latest version of our plugin. We haven’t seen any crashing issues for any other sites, so would like to know details here. Feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] if you’d like.

It caused a fatal error. I removed it and downloaded the latest version (at that time) which seemed fine but it happened again earlier this week. I have removed it from the site. I do not host the site and do not see anything in the logs I am able to see.
It also may or may not have caused a recently added image to duplicate itself over 500 times. I could only remove the extras with a media cleaner. I don’t know if this plugin caused that or if it is a coincidence but I was working on the duplicates when the site crashed (fatal error) the second time.
I use this on other sites so I am not sure why it’s happening here. The only difference is that this site is on Blue Host and mine + my clients’ are all on Siteground. We use the same theme and most of the same other plugins. Hers uses some Woo Commerce that my other ecommerce sites do not.

Very strange but my solution is just to stop using it on this site.

@lbrashear That’s very strange. You could try removing/deactivating all other plugins except AltText.ai and then see if the same issue happens. My guess is it will be fine since our plugin does not create any new images, so the duplicate problem is not able to be caused by us. If you have a chance to try it out without any other plugins on the site please let us know what you find out! We’ll mark this as resolved for now.

I was only hired for SEO on this site so I really do not want to spend any more time troubleshooting it. I got a lot of the images done so I will just move on ??
