My site completely crashed after updating to version 6.0.0. Had to deactivate through ftp and roll back to previous version.
It’s all right now with the older version, but I wonder if others have the same issue.

    Hi @pennink and @marionfw,

I am so sorry you two have encountered this problem; I want to make sure this doesn’t happen anymore. There was a lot of deprecated code in this release, so third party or even our own extensions might be the culprit of the problem so I am going to ask you two to look at the article below for testing for conflicts:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/testing-for-conflicts/

Also, would you mind looking for a log of what the problem might be? I want to dig more into this.

How to turn on Debugging to see the error logs:

    Debugging in WordPress

Also, if you are running into problems, please revert to the old version while we figure out the culprit.

    Thanks so much!

Sorry to say, but my time is very limited, so I’m afraid I can’t be of much help.

I hope the error details that were sent in the WordPress mail about this technical error may help a bit:

Hi @marionfw, appreciate you bringing this to our attention, we released a fix for this one. Please update to v6.0.0.1.

As always, we suggest testing updates on a staging site first and having a recent backup, but it should all be smooth sailing. If you implemented any workarounds, you may remove them after updating the plugin.

Please let us know if you still have issues after updating to the latest releases.

    Best,
    Abz
