This is for ‘All in one WP Migration’ plugin. I installed the plugin and I received this error below:

Please make sure that storage directory /var/www/kobeissiproperties.com/html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage has read and write permissions.

How do I go about fixing this?

    Hi

You may need to set 755 or 777 permissions on [WordPress]/wp-content/ directory recursively. Basically that problem happens if the web server is running with user A and your source files are uploaded with user B.

    Thank you…

How do I go about doing that? I have never run into this issue before so I am unsure how to go about doing so.

    Appreciate your help!

I had this issue with exporting and was easily able to solve it by physically creating an empty folder called “storage” on the web server in the folder wp-content > plugins > all-in-one-wp-migration. If you have FTP access (FileZilla, Dreamweaver, etc.), creating the folder will be easy. Then, just ensure that the folder permissions are set to 777. When you run the exporter (or importer), it should run without any issues.

Will not be any security problem if I set 777 for this folder?

Yes, a folder with CHMOD 777 is a massive security risk, but you can remove the migration plugin or change back settings when done.
