Hi after updating today to latest update i was getting error…

All features in Square for WooCommerce have been disabled due to unsupported settings:
? Invalid OPcache config: Please ensure the save_comments PHP option is enabled. You may need to contact your hosting provider to change caching options.

The square checkout option totally disappeared. Rolling back to 3.3 fixed the issue for now.

Let me know what inf you need to look at this?

    Thanks in advance
    Andi

    Hi there @mmushing ??

For me I have had enough of Woocommerce plugins not working right.. I am just changing my clients away from these plugins as I go. This is crazy.

Could you elaborate further on that, please? I am not able to see related threads under your profile.

@anastas10s unfortunately (?) I had already made the required server changes prior to receiving this link, so the plugin is working again for me – but clearly a huge issue that is not currently “user repairable”, outside of downgrading the plugin.

Noted; thank you for the feedback, @captainswallow, & I’m glad the plugin is working as expected on your end.

    Cheers, everyone!

My website hosting provider is not keen on making these changes that the Square update wants as they are not enabled for a reason.. it keeps their server more secure. I am good with that.. so just not updating this plugin on any of my client sites until Woocommerce fixes this issue with Square.

    Hi there @mmushing,

Kindly make sure the recommended caching settings are set up as required, per the plugin’s documentation, at any point in time -as well as the requirements.

    Cheers!

    @anastas10s

I have spoken with my hosts who advise they dont have opcache installed or available on the php, to be fair I dont know enough to question this?

We host with Ionos, not sure if that makes any difference?

What i cant understand is that if it works in 3.3 without that enabled, why does 3.4 stop working?

FYI, I noticed the plugin was updated today (7 Dec.) to 3.4.1 check to see if it resolved the issue.

@anastas10s Reverting to 3.3.0 seems to work on my end… I’ll have to look into 3.4.1.

I can confirm 3.4.1 does indeed resolve this issue.

Thank you for updating us on this, @maxitup, I’m glad that the issue is resolved. Apparently a more lenient check was necessary, as the changelog reveals.

Looking forward to an update from you too, @r4bb1t; when you get a chance to try out version 3.4.1.

    Cheers, everyone!

    Hi everyone!

Just a quick update for you regarding the bug in WooCommerce Square 3.4.0 you were experiencing.

An update to version 3.4.1 is available on your site now and that includes a fix for this.

Please let us know if you still see that after updating.

    Thank you for your understanding!

Hi Sandip – I have a similar problem that is only on mobile devices. My client’s site was working well. Now the ability to enter credit card information on a mobile device (desktop/laptop is fine) is not available. There is no form, just a blank area under the credit card icons.
    – I’ve rolled back to 3.3 with no success.
    – I’ve restored to 3.4.1 with no success.
    – The server memory limit is 512Mb.
    – Max variable input is 4000.
    – I’ve tested by disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Square.
    – I’ve changed themes. Deleted cache in between every test.
    – The Business Location in the Square Settings is set.
    – No page builder is used on the checkout page.

I can send you a system report.

Thank you for any and all assistance.

    Hello @phrasewrite,

I understand you have the same problem but we need to handle each request individually in forums.

Please open your own thread and make sure to include as much information as you can.

    Thank you!

I opened a new topic and the problem was resolved. But should anyone come to this thread searching for an answer: make sure your website’s SSL certificate is still valid and active. Without SSL, the payment form will not be visible.

    Hi @phrasewrite

I’m glad you were able to find the culprit of your issue here and thanks for sharing your solution with the community too! ??

Meanwhile, if you have a few minutes, we’d love it if you could leave us a review:
