After noticing that my Jetpack Facebook sharing counts were not being updated after my most recent post, I referred to the Jetpack Debugging Tool which said, “It looks like your site cannot communicate properly with Jetpack.” Subsequently, I attempted all of the suggested troubleshooting steps, reviewed the list of known Jetpack issues, and contacted my web host (BlueHost). Still, I am unable to connect my site with Jetpack.
It has been noted in this forum that the Jetpack support staff will be away until October 21st, but—in the mean time—-any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! Could you please let me know the URL for the site in question? Then I’d be happy to look into it for you. Thanks!

Thanks for the link! Your site appears to be properly connected at the moment, so I’m not quite certain what the issue is. Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site? Be sure to include a link to this thread in your message.

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on “Help” tab in the upper right side of the page and click the link for “Jetpack Debugging Center.”
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

Thanks, Ryan! Turns out the Bad Behavior plugin was causing the Jetpack problem.

Glad to hear that you were able to resolve the issue, and thanks for following up here!

I have the same issue, but I cannot complete Ryan’s 3-5. The debugging center page says “…cannot communicate properly with Jetpack.”

I am having this problem on both mindsonline.philosophyofbrains.com and byrdnick.com

(And I’ve tried isolating the issue to plugins with no avail.)

Are you guys running any security plug-ins? I was having the same issue as you yesterday, then new updates came for my security plug-ins and now it’s resolved itself.

    Same problem here :/

aernst: I’m running security plugins on only one of the sites, but both (still) have the issue. (And there were no updates for the plugins).
