    Hi.

After installing One-Click Child Theme on Illdy and generating a child theme, I attempted to edit the code. I tried to change the color of some buttons on my theme under the Theme Functions page of the editor, beneath where it said “// Your Code Goes Beneath //.” I put my code there and clicked update file. I got an error message (the same one at the links below), so I removed the code and updated the file again. I got the same error message. So I closed out of the window, hoping to log back in and fix the issue. Now I can’t even access my site, either on the public side or the Admin side.

This is what I see if I type in my website’s URL:

This is what I see if I go to my URl + wp-admin:
    https://gobeardnow.com/wp-admin/

I’m afraid I’ve just lost the site because, as you can see above, I can’t even log in to fix the issue. Mostly my fault, I’m sure. I’m not a programmer so I shouldn’t have messed with the code. But is there any way to save the site?

Worst case scenario, can I at least salvage the URL and rebuild the site from scratch?

    Thanks.
    Walker

  • Hey Walker,

What’s your web host provider? I’m no expert myself, but I got myself in the same situation (without this plugin). I contacted my host tech support – In Motion hosting – and they were able to fix it for me no problem…it was like magic.

But anyways, I’m wondering if I shouldn’t use this plugin if that could happen? I’m tired of figuring out all this FTP stuff to make a child theme by myself…
