Since turning on minification the site breaks the next day.
So I deactivate the plugin and turn it back on again which fixes the site but then the next day it’s broken again.
    Any advice?

    Hi @crystalpayton,

Sorry to hear about the issue noticed. I gave a quick look at your website and could notice its currently broken and it seems like Rocket loader in Cloudflare enabled is causing a conflict.

The feature works by deferring the files and it can cause conflict with Asset Optimization in Hummingbird as it also performs similar action.

Could you please make sure to keep Rocket Loader feature in Cloudflare disabled, and please make sure “Clear full cache when post/page is updated” is enabled under Hummingbird > Caching > Page Caching > Settings.

And also ensure “File Change Detection” is set to “Automatic” under Hummingbird > Caching > Settings to ensure the plugin clears out the cache whenever required.

I hope this helps. Please do let us know how that goes. Have a nice day ahead.

    Best Regards,
    Nithin

I turned off Rocket Loader and followed the rest of your instructions but the site still broke again through the night.

    Hello there @crystalpayton

Is there any other optimization plugin enabled?
Could you please share the complete list of active plugins?

Also, were you using Asset Optimization in Automated or Manual mode? Cause I see now that it is not used on your site at all.

    Thank you,
    Dimitris

    Hi @crystalpayton

Thank you for sharing the list of plugins.

I don’t see any plugins on that list that are known to be conflicting though. I understand that at the moment Hummingbird is disabled entirely on site so the site was fine but I’m not sure about one detail:

    – does Hummingbird have to be completely deactivated in order for site not to break?
    – or only Asset Optimization can’t be enabled?

I’m sorry if I missed that from earlier posts but if you haven’t tested that yet, could you please check it so we were sure if this is actually about Asset Optimization itself (most likely) or it’s something more “general”.

Also, since the site is behind CloudFlare, I can’t see the real host – can you tell where are you hosting the site and if there’s any kind of server-side cache active there (that you know of)?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

I have hummingbird activated on all our sites but they only break when I activate the asset optimization.
    We use lightsail and cloudflare.

    Hi @crystalpayton,

    Thank you for the information.

Is it possible to try enabling Asset Optimization on Hummingbird and make sure that you clear all site cache and any server cache(if set up), while also temporarily deactivating Cloudflare plugin/set up to verify if any of the optimization from it is causing a conflict.

If this still does not work, please follow the below guide:

So far, after turning off Cloudflare minification the site has not broke yet.

    Nevermind, It broke again:(

After clearing cache and deactivating the cloudflare plugin the site fixed itself for now. Will check again tomorrow to see if it breaks.

    Hi @crystalpayton,

    Thanks for confirming test results.

It does look like the conflict is with the optimization settings you have with Cloudflare as their feature is similar to what Hummingbird Asset Optimization does. What I can recommend is using our Cloudflare integration option found in Hummingbird > Caching > Browser caching, so you can connect it with the plugin and clear any cache directly from it.

Here are our docs for reference:https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/hummingbird/#browser-cache

So now the site broke on all of the pages except for the homepage

    Thread Starter crystalpayton

    (@crystalpayton)

I fixed the site by clearing all cache but I shouldn’t have to do that everyday when the site breaks

    (@crystalpayton)

I have had cloudflare connected in the settings the whole time.

the site broke again today so I had to clear all cache again in hummingbird
is there a way to set it so that all cache clears in hummingbird automatically every 12 hours so I don’t have to keep doing it manually every day?
