Site background page colour

  • Hi
    My site’s background colour keeps defaulting to white.

    Elementor Pro / Hello Elementor / Latest version of WordPress

    I used this code as per a previous closed topic:
    Appearence > customise > additional CSS:

    body {background-color: #f9f9f9}

    Not working – any suggestions?
