• Hi

I’m a bit of a newbie and I was messing about changing Site address (URL) in General Settings when realised I had made mistake, I tried to revert to original address but now cannot get onto any pages to edit in admin ,I get Internal Server Error. Also when I search for site pages on google I cannot get onto site and same message occurs

How can I revert back to original settings and get my blog running again.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks, I am trying but it all looks complicated and now after I
got into my phpMyAdmin I could not remember my password, I changed the password but now I cannot get into the admin of my blog, it reads

    Error establishing a database connection

any suggestion which path to take now?

I’ve tried restoring the original URL directly in the database phpMyAdmin when trying to gain access to my blog it still reads

    Error establishing a database connection

Ive sent an email for help on my host site but do not know how long they will take to reply or if they can fix the problem.

    In the meantime any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Site still not connected

    Help suggested this

    1. Log in to your Account Manager.

    2. From the Products section, click Web Hosting.

    3. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.

    4. In the Databases section of the Hosting Control Center, click MySQL.

    5. Next to your WordPress database, click Manage via phpMyAdmin.

    6. Enter the database’s username and password, and then click Go.

    7. Click the top menu on the left-hand side, for example: blo11381542067.

    8. Click wp_options.

    9. Go to the Browse tab.

    10. In row containing the value siteurl, click Edit.

    11. In the option_value field, delete your old URL, enter your new URL, and then click Go.

    12. Go to the next page.

    13. In row containing the value home, click Edit.

    14. In the option_value field, delete your old URL, enter your new URL, and then click Go.

After clicking Go, the database updates. Your site should resolve normally.

I put in old URL address and clicked Go but it still did not connect. They suggest I contact WP anyone any ideas?

    Thanks

Earlier I changed my password but it was not changed in wp. admin. I have now changed this now and no longer get
Error establishing a database connection message

but now when I try to get onto the blog I get the following message

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

I have contacted them but they say contact WP.
I just want my wp. blog running again at the old location has anybody any ideas ?
