    Hi guys

I have a developing website and I wanted to fix the permalink system before adding products

Basically I would like to remove the slash / product (e.g. brandexample.com/prodotto/on1-jersey-unif) from the display and perhaps replace it either with the product category (e.g. brandexample.com/collane/on1-jersey-unif or directly brandexample. com / on1-jersey-unif)

in reality I have already tried but if I change it gives me an error or that if I change the permalink system on the product, the latter is seen correctly as I would like it but if I go to read an article on the blog it opens a 404 page

what is the correct procedure to do it right? I would not like to use plugins

    thank you very much everyone

    Hi there @etneebrand

    Thanks for your question!

Please refer to this helpful guide to set that up correctly!

in reality I have already tried but if I change it gives me an error or that if I change the permalink system on the product, the latter is seen correctly as I would like it but if I go to read an article on the blog it opens a 404 page

    That’s really strange.

Could you please disable all plugins except WooCommerce and then try again to configure the permalink again?

Secondly, if that still doesn’t resolve, you can try removing the WooCommerce transient data: WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > Tools > WooCommerce transients > Click – Clear Transients (Button on right).

Then please try again to configure your product permalinks.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi again @etneebrand

I deactivated all plugins, removed what you recommended but the problem persists

Could you please share a screenshot of your permalinks settings?

    Cheers!

    Hi @etneebrand,

    Thanks for sharing the screenshots.

Kindly remove the %…% in Base personalizatta in the product permalink setting in this screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/31cn937zwaigrad/75.jpg?dl=0

You’ll want to leave it as /category/.

Once you save the permalinks, your product URLs should be displayed as yourdomain.com/category/productname/

Let us know how it goes.
    Thanks.

    Hey there!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thanks!
