SIREN Mandatory field on check out for France

    Hi @nigeljamesstevenson

    Starting 1st July 2024, SIREN (registration ID for a company in France) is a mandatory field for a company on invoices.

    Woocommerce does not have registration ID field on check out
    I tried to use VAT number as a trying period but it does not work because some companies (like independant) are not liable to VAT so do not have VAT number (FR+2 digits+ SIREN) but they do have a SIREN number (9 digits)

    This field SIREN must be mandatory on check out page if those 2 conditions met
    – Customer fill in company field on check out
    – Customer choose France as bill to
    The field must be displayed on invoice (this concerns invoice plugin dev)

    Have you heard of this and plan to add a mandatory field in WC to meet french regulations ?
    If not do you know a plugin that will help us to be compliant to french regulations ?

    I cannot see in “Checkout Field Editor” plugin condition to display and make it mandatory, can you please confirm if it has this feature ?

    I need field to meet 2 conditions
    – Customer fill in company field on check out
    – Customer choose France as bill to

    If customer does not choose France as country, field MUST NOT be displayed and MUST NOT be mandatory
    We are not selling only in France, so customer who are not based in France do not have SIREN (that is only for french company)

    Since you need conditional fields, you may want to explore other alternatives, such as this one, for instance, or do a quick Google Search for more alternatives!
