    Recently all of the photos that I posted using the “singlepic” shortcode no longer show up as actual images. They now just show up as hyperlinked image file names that open in lightbox. I have tried changing every setting possible to get the images to show up in the post how they used to, with no success. I’m currently stumped. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi @jesq,

    Even though Singlepic feature isn’t officially supported ( as a regular gallery display type ) – we have tested it and it worked for us so perhaps there’s a local problem while dynamic thumbnails are being generated.

    Not sure if this is going to help but could you please access “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Miscellaneous” and press “Clear image cache” then try reloading the page containing singlepic images to see if NGG will succeed automatically generating the thumbnails?

    Thank you for the suggestion. I reset all of the settings, then cleared the image cache per your directions, but it did not appear to resolve the issue. Any other ideas? Thanks again.

    Hi @jesq,

    Could you please double check to make sure that your site doesn’t use CDN for the images and that you use “Post Name” permalinks within “Settings -> Permalinks”?

    Hi! Yes, I can confirm that I don’t use a CDN. I was using date and post name for permalinks. I set it to post name, only. It did not appear to resolve the issue. Thanks again.

    Hi @jesq,

    I am wondering if adding the constant from below to your site’s wp-config.php will solve it:

    define('NGG_DISABLE_DYNAMIC_IMG_URLS', true);

    I gave it a try, and it produced the following error where the post containing the first “singlepic” shortcode appears–

    lsolesen\pel\PelException thrown

    Can not open file “/var/www/vhosts/jakesmag.com/httpdocs/wp-content/gallery/2013/may/cache/2013-shotbyjake.com-3788.jpg-nggid041205-ngg0dyn-0x0x100-00f0w010c010r110f110r010t010.jpg”

    I feel like it is worthy to note that the “cache” directory does not appear to exist in that path. Is is possible that the plugin was unable to create that directory? Permissions are currently set to 755.

    Hi @jesq,

    Could you please let us know if you host your site with a Windows ( IIS ) server?
