singlepic short code displays id=1 after sorting option change

  • After the recent 2.0.66.16 update, I found the single pic short code will always display the image with id 1. Following a separate post, I reset the options and the issue was removed. At that point I changed the settings (other options>image options) to have default sort be Date/Time and there were still no issues. However, when I changed the sort order to be Descending instead of Ascending, singlepic went back to displaying image id=1. Changing it back to Ascending fixed the issue.

    That said, I would like to have the order be Descending since (counter to what I would have guessed) that is what displays the oldest images first (I have galleries set up for each day, so it’s nice to have sequences of images ordered correctly).

  • If have the same issue with singlepic after updating to 2.0.66.16. The behavior seen by gwark is the same I see. If I use Descending i get id=1 for all images using singlepic.

    @gwark & @johntheviking – I have been able to recreate this issue on my tests sites, thanks for letting us know about it. We do test sorting but obviously we missed this particular combination of circumstances.

    @cais – thank you for the response. I actually used descending as a default, as I didn’t know that I could control the sort order in the galleries where I prefer to see my newest photos first. I actually wanted the display of my photos in posts etc. to be ascending.

    @johntheviking – Yes, we do offer the option so sort the images in each IGW inserted display uniquely for each instance. The Gallery > Other Options > Image Options “default” is a convenience as a starting point.
