single_cat_title() doesnt return anything.

  • do anybody know why single_cat_title doesnt returns anything?

    it only echoes the name but doesnt return the value. is it possible?

    i searched the forum and YES,im using it ona category archive.

    now, i use the NO CATEGORY BASE plugin, maybe thats the problem? if yes, please tell me how can i get the category name and id when im on the category archive. cheers

  • What version of WordPress are you using? Have you tried deactivating the NO CATEGORY BASE plugin to see that resolves the problem? I’ve used single_cat_title in at least 30 different themes without the slightest problem.

    ohh thank you, i solved the problem somehow but i cant remember how [coding day and night and learning for exams…].

    i will write here if it crosses my mind.
